8 New Square

26th Jul 2012 - AP
Won by 7 wickets - NRR = 5.49

After a month without a fixture all involved were pleased to see a break in the weather long enough to play a game. 8 New Square batted first and it wasn’t long before wickets began to fall. CIPA-ITMA showed their depth in bowling, using 7 bowlers in just 15 overs, restricting 8 New Square to just 56. The best figures being of Stuart Lumsden who bowled just four balls; two wickets and two dots.

CIPA-ITMA were looking forward to an early finish and a few extra post-match drinks, but two early wickets instilled a little fear. Rob Jackson steadied the ship and saw CIPA-ITMA to a comfortable victory and scoring 21 well struck runs.
